Critique new bulking diet...

Hi Everyone,

Used an article on this website to help put together a new bulking diet as mine was getting a little stale and boring, anyway, would appreciate any criticism on it...

The times that i start each day will vary, im a student so my hours are always different.

1. Protein Shake (as soon as I wake up)
    My protein shakes consist of:
    50g of oats
    1 banana
    100ml of low fat yoghurt
CNP Pro Mass Gainer (2 scoops)
    Half pint semi skimmed milk
    4 tbsp of honey
    1 scoop of ice cream

2. Big bowl of cereal (4 weetabix or shredded wheat)
2 slices of wholemeal bread with olive oil spread
    100ml Orange juice OR milk
    1tbsp of olive oil

3. Sandwich/Bagel (Chicken + Tomato with light mayo)
    Piece of fruit

4. Chicken breast (150g) with either brown rice or brown pasta
    Serving of veg
2 slices of wholemeal bread with olive oil spread

TRAIN

5. Post workout shake straight after training (This one is JUST 2 scoops CNP pro Mass Gainer)

6. Chicken breast (150g) with Jacket potato OR brown rice OR brown pasta
    Serving of veg

7. Large bowl of cereal (4 weetabix or shredded wheat)
Protein shake (with same ingredients as morning shake)

BED

Havnt worked out the makros yet but i know that shakes are around the 800-900 calorie mark EACH. (excluding post workout shake)

any comments welcome

Thanks

Looks ok.  Vary it up a bit everyday.  Otherwise crack on and report back with progress

you could add some more efa fats such as nuts, seeds (linseed for flax oil, sunflower seeds etc), peanut butter in the morning shake, oily fish. night time shake could involve a slow release protein source such as quark cottage cheese, or maybe go for a blend of time release proteins such as reflex peptide fusion as opposed to the straight mass gainer. also do you need the extra carbs in the form of cereal before bed? most would probably advocate your last carbs 3 hours or so before bed. maybe up the carbs in pre workout meals as this is when you will utilise them best. cheers and hope you make some quality gains!

The main reason I haven't got nuts in there is simply because of their cost! I found them quite expensive but then im only looking in supermarkets, don't know if that's the best place?

As for the extra carbs before bed, these were just because im usually hungry approaching bed time so thought id slip in a bowl of cereal, but will up the carbs in the pre workout like you suggested, Thanks.
