Cu77en - January 2015 SUC'ky SUC'ky 5 Dollahhhh

I have been training for around 2 1/2 years and for the first time in my life I genuinely feel sh!t about the way my body looks. Up until about a month ago I was in average shape and not too fussed as the main goal for my training was strength. It appears I have put around a stone on over the Christmas period, with it all sitting on the belly and love handles.

My stats are...
95kg
5ft 8
Around the love handles 38"
Arms 16"
Theighs 27"
Calves 17"

Current PB's
Strict press 100kg
Power jerk 110kg
Push press 6 x 100kg
Front squat 150kg
Back squat 3 x 160kg
Deadlift 3 x 200kg

The goal is to complete the full term of the Suc unassisted and to look like I lift weights, which in turn would make me feel abit better about myself. At the moment I just look like a little round blob! I f@cking love carbs so that is something I will be addressing in my eating plan, I will still be training for strength. Although I will be throwing in some building type assistance including the olde bicep curl, which I haven't done in a very long time.

The first workout of the Suc didn't go too well...

Front squat raw
12 x 40kg
10 x 60kg
8 x 70kg
6 x 80kg
4 x 90kg
2 x 100kg

Finding my groove again with these as I haven't done much front squatting in a while.

Strict press
12 x 40kg
10 x 60kg
8 x 70kg
Belt on
6 x 80kg
2 x 90kg
10 x 60kg

Back squat raw
10 x 60kg
10 x 80kg
5 x 100kg
3 x 120kg (3 sets)
Jumping squat
3 x 100kg (3 sets)
6 x 100kg (3 sets)

Klokov press
20 x bar
10 x 40kg
5 x 50kg (2 sets)
5 x 60kg
3 x 60kg
20 x bar

Ended up drinking a pint of milk and having a massive kfc when I got home ūüėź

That strict press session is bloody impressive - sh1t load of poundage shifted there!

Nice one edbanger, my strict press is about the only lift I'm proud of. I can't see it improving from the level its at now I'm sorting my diet out... Says that while lying in the bath with a goose and cranberry :/ lol

Thanks mate, carbs seem to be our enemy lol. I didn't realise how many carbs I was actually eating until recently. Do you find it hard energy wise when you lower your carbs?

Yep! I tend to keep them higher as a result and cut my calories from fat instead - old school but works for me :)
