Cutting, but no loss. Exercises making me heavier?

So, I have been following the Dave Palumbo keto cutting diet for a bit now (second time around). The first time I ran the diet, in 2 weeks span, I dropped about 12 lbs (water weight and fat) with only 20 minutes LISS and about 40 minutes split weight routine.

This time around; however, I have been training differently (recently discovered the joys of deadlifting!) I have been improving with each session, but it seems as though I am just getting heavier. I am still running the diet and performing LISS, but the scale hasn't moved. I figured I would have at least seen a loss in water weight? I do notice the change in the mirror, which is the only proper way to measure in my opinion, but my concern, is deadlifting making me heavier?

Thank you for any help or advice!

Does it matter if you can see the change in body shape?

Not at all! I am just wondering if it is counterproductive to me trying to loose body fat as well. Is this something I will be able to achieve still?

How is your working scedule, if you have a shift job, it will be hard to loose weight due to kortisol release.

Body recomposition - ie gaining muscle may limit changes on the scale. In this way deadlifting which results in muscle gain may prevent 'weight loss'.
