Cycling Creatine

Is there a need to cycle creatine on and off or would it be better to just take it without cycling it. Im currently on a loading phase, 20g for 5 days, i then plan on taking 5g(is this sufficient) per day for the next 5 weeks and then take two weeks off, so basically 6weeks on and two off. i have read that to increase the absorption rate, you should consume a high-glycemic carb source shortly after taking the creatine such as dextrose (what else can i use apart form this, what other high glycemic carb sources are there ) would a banana suffice. I currently mix my creatine in warm water with a tea spoon of sugar and a banana afterwards.

If i remember rightly it suggests 6-8 weeks on and 2 weeks for for mono.

Don't think it mentions anything about CEE though.

find it much better to cycle on mono with 6weeks on 2weeks off, that way your body doesnt get too dependent on it. Lots of ppl do too longer cycles out of fear of losing what they've packed on, but to be fair after you stop taking creatine your muscles start produces they're own. Then, when you go back on it, they get a fresh boost from the supplement and gains once again.

    unsure about cycling on CEE.

IMO it is necessary to cycle creatine, something like 5 weeks on, 3 off. If you do not cycle creatine, then your body may stop producing it's own, through a 'negative feedback' mechanism

Everyones seems to have an opinion on how long to cycle for,if at all.As far as I know there have only been short term studies on creatine so who's to say if it's a good thing to cycle or not.I personally now do 3 months on 1 month off.

in terms of CEE that would be taste, if Moni id say powder is easier as youd have to take anywhere between 10-20 caps to get 5g of the powdered mono in your system

    Quick question related to this.
For those people who take creatine mono with dextrose or another simple sugar PWO, do you also take the creatine with the simple sugar on non workout days also?

    Thanks

i take my mono with either a cheap redbull style energy drink or grapefruit juice. Dont usually take creatine post workout, just 5grams before as ive heard creatine and the L-glutamine in my whey will counter-act each other.
