err before i started driving i didn't understand how to use roads properly.. ie roundabouts therefore i'd hop the pavement and go over the zebra crossing on the bike.. i don't see the problem! only thing i don't like is when i stop to let people cross and they don't make any aknowledgement with a lil smile or hand up or anything

Why shouldn't we use Zebra crossings if we are crossing? What bugs me is when people fly over them giving motorists no chance to stop as if it's a passage of rights

Cyclists annoy the hell out of me. The way they just go through red lights at will. They slow down a lot of motorised traffic and run over pedestrians at crossings. No one likes them. I hate cyclists.

You know you have to get a license to cycle a bike in Poland? 10year olds take a bike test the way we take a driving test. I thought that was surprising.

I've started cycling a lot more, i can get into the city nearly as fast on bike as in my car. I use pavements in low pedestrian areas. the traffic here is pretty bad as are a lot of the drivers. I'm just mindful to give respect to both drivers and pedestrians.

ORIGINAL: cu3ed but ive recently discovered its more fun to brake sitck the clutch in and rev the engine just to raise some panic in the toss bags lol. I do the same when on my motorbike! This includes people who run across on foot when the lights have changed to green on a crossing! ...great fun watching them scuttle across quicker!

ORIGINAL: dirtyvest What bugs me is when people fly over them giving motorists no chance to stop as if it's a passage of rights Totally agree , had this the other day , driving along in heavy rain at about 25mph in a 30 limit A bit hard to explain , but as I approached the crossing , some was about to step onto it , I was (IMO ) going too fast to stop properly properly in time so i carried on going , as I passed she had a look of horror on her face ! as if I had just run over a toddler or something ! I was tempted to turn around and have it out with her , but thought better of it - I could read her mind though , she thinks I simply ignored the crossing ,when in fact it was a case of here ignoring her green cross code ! We get a lot of that around here - I personally put a lot of it down to the large elderly poputlation , but now it seems to be rubbing off on younger folks too , who are following their bad example

I have when i was younger done a provisional thing to cycle properly, I think its illegal or sommin to that efect for cyclists to use crossings. You are either a pedestrian, or on the road, not what suits, anytime im walking in town I ALWATS get the urge to shove people on bikes into the road. Winds me up lol.

I have started cycling recently, but have to admit when I was driving I got a cyclist crossing over a zebra crossing and felt like knocking him off his bike. I can't really explain why though.

Hate them!!! Many of them don't know wtf "Driving theory" is, they should all be FORCED to pass the driving theory test so they know to stop at red lights when using THE ROADS. But most of all i hate when you're pulling into a road and waiitng for a gap in the traffic, then you spot that little cyclist going 8MPH as if he's perfectly timing it so that when theres a clearence in the traffic he'll be so close to your turning that you have to wait 5hours for his little legs to move him past the turning... by that time the road is packed full of cars again and then up comes another cyclist!!!! They should be allowed to use pavements, would be alot safer imo and then they wouldn't get in the bloddy way! How many cyclists are splattered by cars vs how many cyclists kill pedestrians? I think the ratio is probably 2938932832 : 2. I also hate the "Wobbly one's", the ones that require about 5 metres clearence each side incase they wobble infront of your car.... then obviously will bitch at you for hitting them. Uhhhhhhhhh

I hate drivers, think they always have the right of way. 90% of them are lazy far bastards who cant be arsed to walk/cycle/run etc to where they are going.

and drivers who suddenly think they can hang a right without checking to see if a cyclist is coming up the side of them. and drivers who tank it past you about an inch away from your arms and drivers who jump red lights when yours have just turned green, which as a cyclist you tend to have a faster first few feet than most cars pulling away and nearly get run down
