DB Bench Press - Query

How do you press?

All the way up almost locking your arms - or just above halfway?

I have always done my bench all the way up, but tried the other technique today. It seemed to work my chest more, probably because there is constant tension over the pectorals and less emphasis over triceps.

Chris.

My personal preference is going all the way up with a full range of motion.

Although i do also see the logic in not locking out and keeping the tension on.

I feel the 'all the way up' method more rewarding - it just felt wrong when I was halfway though my first set, that soon changed when I got used to it and my chest was burning!
