Dash board cams

Inspired after partyboys thread and my partner having to swerve off the road to avoid an on coming car taking over on a blind bend .

So chaps whos got them and how do you rate them ?

I think this is well worth the money after an eye opening experience !

Thanks for the heads ups .

Very good site for helping choose one:

I've got the Mobius with a wide lens. There's examples of footage on YouTube

Thanks partyboy I will take a better look once on a big screen. With your dash can for example , is it possible to pick up car number plates and if so at what speeds is this still do able?

Thanks again fella

Iv been considering fitting one to my car with my commute being on some awful roads and having a couple of close calls due to other idiot’s on the road.

I've played back footage of driving along at 45mph on an overcast day. It's a straight 50 road so I'd assume oncoming cars are doing similar (or faster) so a combined speed of 90mph. Using vlc player watching the footage you can't read the plates, but if you pause the playback when the cars are near to passing, the stills are VERY clear and you can read every plate. I haven't tested it at higher speeds.

Bad light/conditions will obviously negatively affect it though

I'll be getting one when I change cars next year.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain.
