Deadlift and Doms

Hi folks,

i did deadlifts on tuesday. I took it easy and used very light weights. The day after lower back felt kind of stiff, and i could feel the muscles aching within it. It is better today when i woke up.

I was just wondering is this normal post training DOMS? I hope i don't get this after every session, as i want to start running?

Thanks

Your lower back will feel a little stiff after deads, especially when new to deadlifting. You can still run with DOMS as DOMS isn't an injury.

I know. It's just movement is little limited or tight.

The more you train, the less ugly it gets. Even so, running the day after deads may just be scomething to avoid in your schedule.

i tend to take teh cardio easy after deads or squats, maybe some bike work, but i wouldnt run. Not that you couldnt run, thats just my opinion
