Decent gyms in Brighton?

Hi Folks,

Im moving down to Brighton in August for a couple of years. Hoping to live in either Kemptown or Preston Park.

Can anyone recommend any decent gyms? Nothing too fancy - olympic weights, squat rack and benches essential.

Cheetas on Hove front. It's a very good and big weights gym and an easy bus ride from anywear in Brighton. Or a bimble down the seafront on a nice day!

It's separted into about 5 different rooms each with a different emhasis i.e legs and chest. This itself is a bit naff, but it does mean there's plenty of decent equipment and even cv, although I have not been in that room. I know off powerlifters, bodybuilders and even a strongman that trains down there. I train there with a fellow powerlifter about once a month and its always been good.

Only bummer is sometime in the future the whole building (it's contected to a Rec Centre) is going to be knocked down. The Rec Centre will be rebuilt but as for a new 'spit and sawdust' gym attached, unlikly

Cheetahs is your best bet by a long way.

David llyod is ok or Rip tide on the sea front if you prefer more cardio based workouts.
