A proper meal, so chicken with a sweet potato usually. If not, just a flavoured protein blend.

If you don't like the BP one, try some others. A specific 'post workout' shake can be made yourself, so you can tailor the ingredients. Buy a bag of protein, creatine and a carb source (both of which are cheap as chips) and you're laughing.

No offence but posts like this blow my mind.

No biggie like, there are a lot worse things for you than using steroids, I mean I probably shouldn't have been smoking crack or getting into bar fights at your age TBH  - drab4

I assume you already know you can make your own so ill just answer with ones ive tried. I dont personally have to much in my whey after training but ones ive tried below.

I was sent some samples of PHD Choc peanut butter that is lovely in fact all the flavours are really tasty. I have a sweet tooth I really liked it and its low sugar ive put a review in the review section. Scored this high. Id recommend it.

Reflex OSX is decent tasting and has a pretty complete ingredients list again worth looking at.

    This is driving me mental!!

Its happening time after time on this forum and only seems to be this forum.

This is the Supplements section, people come on here asking about a particular product and it seems like a race to say who can say "whole foods" quick enough and the next 10 people all saying ^^^^^ as above , great post above hes mentioned food.

Im fed up with this Holyier than thou attitude on here that is suggesting that there is something wrong with supplementing your diet which anything other than chicken and sweet potatoes.

Im not having a go at anyone in particular, even though its already been said twice in this thread. The guy is asking about a decent tasting PWO Shake hes not asking for anyone's diet.

I assume nearly all people on here are adults its pretty condescending and patronising to constantly reply every single time with what you eat for dinner or say FOOD or even worse the MT words "Whole Foods".

If anyone isnt eating FOOD or "whole foods" as people love to say on here they shouldn't be alive let alone training.

Who joins a gym looks around gets into training thinks I love this I want it to be part of my lifestyle maybe I need to supplement my diet , I know ill join a respected forum and ask about supplements, oh and by the way ill stop eating whole foods, I hope someone recommends FOOD to me as I just wouldn't have thought of that before I joined the forum.

It seems a lot of reps are doing this I dont understand why as there are perfectly good rules in place that a rep cant promote there own products. I cant work it out is it "im a better rep than others as I always recommend Food" ?

I love supplements they allow me to get the omega oils in I need that I couldn't eat, the protein I think I need, the extra electrolytes I need, the time saving quickness of a meal in seconds, the vitamins I just wouldnt get in my system. The Convenience of something that wont smell or go off when I need to eat away from home in the gym, for me personally the decrease in sugar in my diet alone is due to supplements helping me and substituting them for decent supps.

Im sorry for the rant and I know it seems im aiming at the above guys but im not this is just the latest thread that I would've wrote this anyway.

Good post mate.....I have a PWO shake straight after my workout and within 1-2 hours I then have a meal, usually protein/veg or salad, no carbs because I don't feel I need them then.

No holier than thou attitude from me here lads - the guy stated he doesn't like his current shake and asked what other people use so I answered, as I'm perfectly entitled to do.

I can't recommend GN products because I'll get immediately flagged for spamming, I cant recommend other companies for the fact I'm a company rep and even if I did, I'll have people jumping down my neck for being a **** rep, as has happened before, so I gave the only option I could do - advise on making his own

Hahahahaha proper laughed at that, you're so naive… I know loads of kids who don't eat proper food but knock back endless shakes in a hope to get swole, telling them to eat a proper meal is GREAT ADVICE.

This is a swift follow-up thread to the "Best whey protein" one a week ago, albeit slightly different as this is more specifically concerned with taste.
I must still refer back to @faipdeooiad's post in the previous thread (#5) in which he lists a whole number of options as to which one to go for.
I do understand @Redwing's complaint all the same in that some members seemed to sway off topic slightly.

However, ALL of this is good info for me personally as I'm actually "between" protein shakes atm and I find all the posts on this - and the last thread - most useful in my quest to find a suitable shake for my requirements
(Oh, and I shall still eat food)

:) i love it when you reply , putting you down as I do so easily always gets me some nice PMs. Ive told you before your an easy target for me.

    OK Shame
Whats any of that got to do with the question asked?  You seem to be confused again. Let me enlighten you.

Nobody said recommending food isnt good advice but the question asked was for a decent tasting protein shake. How does that help the OP in any way?  is he asking whether to eat food or not?

My point was its the same reply constantly on here.

I must get to you so much as you sit there waiting to jump on any post I make. I love that thought :)

Just enough rope. Ill leave it there.

Of course your entitled to write anything you want as im entitled to get bored of keep hearing it. Im not saying who can post and who cant but im also entitled to my opinion.

He did state he doesn't like his current shake and asked what other people use, he clearly meant PWO shakes hes even wrote it in the title. Did you think he wanted a list of what everyone eats after they train?  That would be a strange looking thread considering hes made himself pretty clear. Look at the name of the thread.

    Decent tasting post workout shake.

This is the Supplements section, there is a perfectly good Diet section he could've asked that in.

Im honestly not having a go at you.

I just feel new people looking for advice on supplements get the same answer time and time again on here.

As people are ignoring the op and instead giving dietary advice instead of answering a simple which post workout drink I was tempted to out up a decent steroid protocol. Than again the lad asked about a drink so why would I. I'm assuming as he's on here he knows to eat a well
Balanced diet what's good and what's bit but just wants a bit of advice re a good pwo. Can see reds point if I had a pound for every. "Eat whole food" or make your own post I'd be minted

Agree with JS and redwing. OP has asked about a shake, and has been told to eat several times. As a rep I can't recommend anything specific, so rather than post up a generic response I let other members answer the question, rather than not adding value. More fool me I guess, at least if I posted every time the TPW banner would be in every thread, but all that does is get on peoples' wick!

Now bucking the trend - If you're after a branded shake then redwing gives some good tasting options, albeit a bit more expensive than some others. Their ingredients are good quality though.
