There's no good or bad foods just bad times to have them and quantities to have them in.

Diet fizzy drinks still contain bits and bobs that the body has to deal with fully dissociated acids for instance.

It's all about food behavior, a bit is fine, basing your liquid intake on it isn't. Also, if it reinforces that sweet tooth it may be having other knock on effects.

There was some talk on the acids(citric) messing peoples ketogenic diets up and other people saying they couldnt drop fat whilst drinking diet soda.
Ive never had those problems, but im also not on a keto diet.

I drink alot of this acid juice, bad for your teeth but in moderation ok to enjoy imo.

Just to clarify there are different types of acid, fizzy drinks contain 2 or more types some of which (organic acids) are metabolised and are often basic when metbolised, phosphoric acids is different.

    Drew,
Would the citric acids/other acids in fizzy drinks shown up as energy when they were tested (Calorie bombed or however they test drinks?).
If not, would it then mean we actually absorb/use more calories from these diet sodas than their nutritional information says they contain?

Probably a deep subject, i couldnt find much on it though.

Jesus what is there to drink when you fed up with plain old water, every diet drink seems to have some kind of sweetner in it.

Would that mean youd then have two copies, or one?
Or have you got tonnes that your selling on amazon ?

aspartame is a protein anyway, so im not bothered about that specifically.

I guess my concerns about diet drinks would be more on:
    1) The acid in them that we digest and its effects on our teeth - I read in a few places that the acidity/alkali of foods can effect our health, but that something i still want to read up on.
    2) The ammount of caffine you can drink if you drink ALOT of these drinks.
