Diet advice

Hi girls

I posted over on the nutrition forum to get some advice with my diet. I am not a BBer but I am trying to build muscle and get a more toned look. I have lost 32lbs so far, and trying to lose maybe another 25-30lbs. I am 5'8" and have a naturally large frame. I have got some diet advice, and would appreciate some input here.

Post workout - What should I eat/drink immediately after working out? Should it ideally be a protein shake or can I have 1/2 tin of tuna etc?

I am moving towards eating 6 times daily (from 3 times, with a light lunch and large carb content for tea - oops!), if I can get my protein from natural sources rather than whey, is this optimal? How many cals should be in each meal, and how many should I eat each day? I weigh about 189lbs. I lift 3 times a week and do 45 mins of cardio 3 times a week.

Thanks!

    Hi J

yes food sources would be better, but TBH whey is great post workout - so try a 20g drink there

dont count cals - you have to look at your nutrition in food terms rather than figures

post your current diet and we can comment on it here

The whey+ glucose V the whey only arguament is a long standing one which I have had numerous times here before, and there is evidnce either way

However aryan, Juanita said she is NOT a BBer and wants a more toned look, therefore I see no need for more than 20g whey. If she werw abodybuilder then I may agree with your figures.

    This should clear this up
