Diet

Hi All

Having already been advised as to a good workout routine by many of the members on here in conjunction with my bro who is also a member but I would like some advice on my diet.

Heres my situation:

Age 32
Height 180
Weight 85KG

Have let myself go abit.

Job: Office based spend alot of time sat on my backside. Bad News.

Currently I am training 4 times a week. Only just started properly.
2 days weight two to three days cardio. Spread over a week.
Weight about 1.5hrs cardio 30-45 mins.

The weights are based on Frankie NY routine 2 day split.

The above is my ideal. Currently training in the evening as can't do mornings.

This is my diet at the moment.

Breakfast 0800

3 whole eggs scrambled with 1 slice of wholemal toast
1 cup of green tea

Mid-morning snack 1030

1 can of tuna with 50gs of wholemeal pasta, little bit of light salad cream.
10g of flaxseed

Lunch1300

1 turkey breast with veg, little bit tomato ketchup.
1 apple and banna
1 cup of green tea

mid after noon 1530

1 can of tuna with salad or rice, little bit of salad cream.
1 apple

Dinner 1800

1 turkey breast with veg, little bit tomato ketchup.
Activia yogurt peach, 2 rice cakes.

Last meal. 2030

Protein shake with water.
1 yogurt muller light
10g of flaxseed

The only variation to the above is the evening meal can be fish or meat a couple of times a week.

The times may vary but I aim to eat every 2.5-3.0 hours.

I have been on this diet for about a week and a half now and its going Ok.

Do you think its to much food?

Any advice would be helpfull or variations if you feel needed.

Weight loss being my main goal at the moment. Hopefully toning up in the process.

Thanks in advance.

Jason

13.00 - Add some healthy fats here from flax oil, seeds, nuts, natural peanut butter, oily fish, etc... and keep the veg.

20.30 - Lose the whey here and replace with casein blend or solid, lean protein from chicken, turkey, egg whites, steak, etc...

What time do you go to bed? ? ?

    When is cardio? ? ?

Go to bed between 10.30 and 11.00 for 6.00 am get up.

    A typical routine would be

    Mon cardio
    Tue weights
    Wed Off
    Thu weights
    Fri cardio

Although sometines have thursday as a rest day as well and then train fri,sat as above.

    Cheers

    Nothing to serious.

Typical 30 mins cross trainer at medium level.

    Keep HR below 150.

    So medium intensity.

I honestly dont think that 2 x 30 mins cardio sessions per week will get you where you want to be.

Can you do morning cardio? ? ?

Could maybe squeeze in 30 mins at say 6.30.

Probelm is currently have to travel 1 hour to work and back each day.

Do you think more cardio would be better?

My main goal is to lose about 1.5 stone before I go on holiday in 2.5 months time.

Be nice to take my top off and not feel selfconscious!!

You will get out, what you put in generally.

More cardio am, wake a little earlier.
