Diet/routine to critique please
I've only been training just less than 2 months, but i've seen some gains and fat loss in that time. I've been cutting since I started - and my goal was to get down to 10% bodyfat and then start lean bulking.
However - it has been commented on other threads that with the small about of lean muscle I have I should be lean bulking first and then cutting - since this will make it easier to get under 10%. It was suggested to post my routine/diet up here and let you guys give me some advice.
So - here it is!
I'm 31, 5'10'' and 12 stone. I'm have 12.8% BF.
I train 6 times a week - 4 FB workouts (Sun, Tues, Thurs, Fri) and 2 HIIT Cardio sessions (Wed, Sat). My workout looks something like this
Single Leg Leg Press
Single Arm Dumbbell bench Press
As for my diet - I follow the T-Dawg v2 diet from the T Nation site - and basically I have 2000 cals, 100g Carbs and 220g Protein on training days and 2000 cals, 70g carbs and 220g protein on non training days.
A typical days diet would be (this is what I had yesterday)
Porridge (Semi Skimmed Milk) with 1 scoop Protein (about 3 quarters of an hour before workout)
2 scoops MP Hurricane XP, 1 scoop Protein straight after workout
3 Poached Eggs on wholemeal + 500ml water
Mid Morning Snack
Handful of seeds mix (Pumpkin, Sunflower, Soya Nuts) + 500ml water
2x Chicken Breast + 500ml water
Salmon Fillet and some green veg
Protein shake in milk
That is an average day. That lot was roughly 1800 cals, 100g carbs, 200g Protein.
I have to admit that since I started on the high protein diet my sleep hasn't been as full as it used to be. Might have to do something about that.
Anyway - end of this month will be my two month marker. I figure if I am going to make any changes (it has been suggested it might be better if I do splits instead of 4xFB workouts) then the start of next month would be a good time to try.
Any help/advice would be great. I'm always wanting to learn and improve.
