Do you have a big ego?

To some extent, what constitutes “egotistical” behavior lies in the eye of the beholder. But when you observe one or more of these signs in another individual, chances are you’re dealing with someone preoccupied with his or her own image:

Bragging—repeated boasts of superior accomplishments.

Excessive talk—incessant attempts to dominate conversation, or steer the conversation to oneself.

Exaggerated behavior—always attempting to force oneself into the center of activity.

Insensitivity—expressing views or taking actions without regard to the thoughts or feelings of others.

I think I may have a big one.

In trying to define what a big ego actually means I did a little research.

    Don't you like it?

Although JK had me sussed long before you did Tube Screamer.

I have on my screensaver the quote “If you done it, it ain't bragging.” - so I don’t see honest bragging as an egotistical quality, just self publicising.....

However the combination of what you list - is in my eyes someone who is insecure rather than has a big ego! If you have to always be centre of attention, dominate conversations, knowingly putting other people down or hurting them and controlling situations to be about yourself you are in fact seeking the acceptance of others in whatever means you can......

Note: As far as your descriptions are concerned, I don't think I quite fit the mold. I'm not a bragger just incredibly confident for no apparent reason, and a little insensitive. I do think I'm ****ing awesome, though, so I guess it's still ego!

The word ego has lots of different meanings

First web dictionary page I found on google had these meanings:

    - The self, especially as distinct from the world and other selves.

    - In psychoanalysis, the division of the psyche that is conscious, most immediately controls thought and behavior, and is most in touch with external reality.

    - An exaggerated sense of self-importance; conceit.

    - Appropriate pride in oneself; self-esteem.

So basically, I don't know if I have a big ego or not

Seems to be the most endearing definition, I'd go for that one, Drab.
