Does any one knows how to do a split?

I really want to do a split? I have been trying to do it at home but it is hard does anyone have any tips that can help? thank francesca

    Split!?!!? What do you mean? split work-outs, split as in dance split (180*)???

    No need to be so hard on "Comestai", it's just a question. Comestai, Are you talking about a split as in "straddle" or "routine"?

    Francesca, if you mean the splits then you have to work on your flexability, so keep stretching regularly or do yoga/pilates (i remember you posted you were intrested)...anyways...keep stretching and you will eventually be able to do it....

    you're more flexible at a young age...its your flexability that allows you to do the splits...its just easier to keep from when you're young instead of starting at 0 when you're much older...

    I have been in martial arts since I was 10. I was always limber so splits come natural for me but I have seen people people 30 years old just starting out stretch and get to be able to do a split. Never to old Brother!

    Yeah to do splits you definitely got to be limbered. Definitely need to stretch for some time. Don't force it now...you'll hurt yourself.
