Does this make sense about cardio?

Does this make sense....

Plenty of protein before a cardio workout. That way there is a great flow of amino acids in the bloodstream. No insulin release as there are no carbs, the body senses there is already alot of aminos in the blood and therefore doesnt break down muscle just fat?

Would this only work for lower intensity cardio workouts?

I'm thinking the same thing, but how do you get pure protein? All but the most expensive whey has some carbs in it. I suppose you could use egg whites but how long before would you need to take them as they dont get absorbed as quickly as whey?

Whey in water before low intensity cardio is good - have a look at the article about early morning training
