Drop from 5 sets to 3 sets ?
recently ive found my squat and deadlift slowing down in gains and now almost stopping. i was doin 5 x10 or 5x5 sumtimes for squat and 5x5 for deadlift. today i switched to 3 x 5 for both exercises. And it was just so much easy to psyche myself up for it, and whereas i usually do 5x5 at 107 on deadlift, today i did 3x5 at 112.
My question is, is this an ok way to break a plateau ? with the aim of strength/power, or should i stick to 5 sets?
i tried that front squat, fukin nitemare, cudnt hold it or balance it at all lol, and didnt know any exercise worthy to replace deadlift lol.
