    I dont think thats quite right.

    A drop set, using flies as an example. Rep with 20kgs until the point of failure, then pick up 16kg and do the same, then pick up 14kg and do the same. That would be a triple drop set. Basically you go to failure with a chosen weight then immediately pick up a lighter weight and do the same thing.

    I always see guys in the gym doing triple drop-sets on movements live flyes and curls all the time. Guess what. They use the same weigths week after week, month after month. So listen to robert above.

    I think they are more of a shock treatment that you should only use once every few months and only if you are in a plateau. just gives you something new to throw your muscles for a loop

    Ye i think this makes sense for me. As a continuous thing I could not really see the point except for good pumps, but am quite new to this so perhaps I am incorrect.

    Body for life works on a similar principle to this.
