Bring the credit card! And a backup if possible ;)

I was down in January, had a great time. The going rate is 6 euro a pint, so it's expensive, but it's probably my favourite city in the world and I'll happily pay that for that reason! Just make sure if you're shopping, buy stuff you can't get back home.

Temple Bar area is lively, and it's cracked down on the daft hen and stag parties in the last few years (which is a good thing). Grafton Street is probably my favourite. Just off that, in front of the Westbury Hotel, you've got two great pubs. One is called McDaid's, the other name I can't remember, but it's more or less facing McDaid's and shows all the sport. The shopping on Grafton Street, and all the streets off it, is good, and there's plenty of nice restaurants for lunch.

I had a great dinner out with the girlfriend, but can't remember the name of the place! If I remember, I'll find out for you. Definitely recommended. The downstairs restaurant of the Merrion serves just incredible food, with great friendly service and a brilliant wine waiter. It's expensive, but less expensive than their French restaurant. You could call in for high tea also :)
