Agree, no liked any of the footage I've seen !

Though I guess folk will still buy it in to some degree, probably most likely if as a DL from XBox live, for say £5.

Been so long since I played the original I can't even remember if I liked it, lmao!

God i remember playing stuff like Duke Nukem, Descent and Doom 2 on network linkup.

Pre ethernet networks at home days. Poncing around with terminators, and always having one mate who was a pleb and had broken his networking setup.

    Descent was frickin awesome.

Awesome pic, but Tony you're not doing yourself many favours posting up tips on preventing the gag reflex and then a picture of a guy touching his toes - Ak

Damn, Descent... now there was a game!! Ahhhh - for early network games, how about ROTT - Rise of The Triads - multiplayer on that was ace, body explosions FTW! Back in the good old days when you had loads of 'cheat' codes

People should do this kind of thing more often around here tbh.

Yip, 'fraid so. Nevermind! I'll just have a lie in instead.

The thing is though, with this game, it's been anticipated for so long that a lot of people are going to have extremely high hopes and expectations which, I'd imagine, it may not meet.

I'm a huge Duke Nukem 3D fan, hell, that game defined some of my first FPS experiences as a kid. It's the first time I saw pixelated bewbs too. I'm going to try not get too excited (although...booking a day off just to play it is a bit 'far out there' lol)

ROTT was good, but i thought it was a poor relation to the others. We usually had a game or two, since one of the group was adamant (not the 80s popstar) that we give it a go.

Descent was great, would be excellent to play it again, on a broadband connection on massive multiplayer. Great selection of weapons and good flight physics.

I really want a decent version of Stunt Car Racer, used to play that on the Amiga 500 using a serial link.
