Dumbbell / barbell

Quick question:

Let's take the bench press for example. How should one's dumbbell weight differ from their barbell? I'm starting to think I'm a bit of a pussy in that everyone on here seems to be benching over 100kg as their 1 rep max. Personally my 1 rep max is 75kg. I've never attempted a 1 rep max with dumbbells, but I can do 4 sets of 10 with 25kg in each arm.

I suppose this is kind of two questions. Should my 1 rep bench be higher based on my dumbbell weights, and what is the norm in terms of ratios for dumbbell/barbell weight?

Thanks

Usually you lift less with dumbells due to the fact you have to stabalise them alot more. You also use a greater ROM meaning you lift less.

As above with dumbbells the weight lifted tends to be less.

Also on the bench dont worry about your 1rm compared to others just keep at it yourself other peoples training will have no effect on you.

Thanks for the responses. Just to give me an idea, how does everybody elses dumbbell /barbell ratios on here compare? And what lift should be the biggest etc? Squat/Deadlift? Should bench be bigger than military press? Or is everybody different?
