Easier Substitute for chest dips?

Are there any easier alternatives I can do, since I cannot do dips, yet?

Do negatives on the dip station
Do bench dips to build strength in triceps

Any pressing movement to build up strength.

thats 1 good thing about a council gym, you can do dips with weights to aid you

then again no squats, deads, bench lol

like said above keep pressing and do neg. reps, it worked for me

I personnaly wouldn't bother with negatives. Unless you have a reason to want to perform dips as soon as possible it would be better to stick to the basics of just lifting progressively heavier weights by bench pressing, dumbell or barbell, on a regular basis. You'll soon get strong enough to perform dips.
