Eggs in rice cooker

There's recipes on the net for doing "boiled" eggs in the top tray of the rice cooker, but is there any harm in doing rice at the same time? My concern is the water cooking the eggs then being embedded in the rice. I presume the heat/steam will kill any bacteria?

And I guess you don't want any chicken **** on the egg shells before cooking?

Reckon if you cleaned the shells off it would be OK
