Event Security / Stewarding

does anyone on here do anything in this line of work? Im looking for some additional income along side current job (fire service) and have relevant qualifications eg Emergency Medical technician/ experience with public etc but cant find any leads to get into it.

Stuff like concerts, sports events, race meetings, festivals etc

    as far as i know firemen arnt supposed to work the doors due to being needed on shift work, i know a few that do though

    not sure if security, etc is the same

    have a look on the foum at workingthedoors mate

    Im in the midlands mate, cant really do door work as its a "conflict of interest" in the brigades eyes. Doesn't fit in with human resources ideal of the community firefighter

    However, event stuff would be different as its not stereotyped like door work is

    check with companies like Rock Steady as they do most ofthe sport and music events in Scotland ie. T in the Park.

    try showsec. i used to work for them before i did any doorwork. The hourly rate is poor though.
