Expanding the rib-cage

I'd like some opinions on this one please. Stuart McRobert (Brawn) absolutely insists that pullovers can be used to expand the rib-cage and that his trainees have done so, but many on the board say the idea is nonsense. What gives.

I've been reading Keys to progress and John McCallum thought so too but apparently it can't be done

I seem to remember a really long and heated debate about this some months ago, do a search in the archives for it.

Theres a lot of people swear by 20rep breathing squats and pullovers or rader chest pulls, ive got paul kelso's shrug book and it has pictures of him when he's in his teens and you can see how small his chest is,ribs sticking out then it has pictures of him later and you can see a big difference,he puts it down to rib cage enlargement.
Ive tried rader chest pulls in the past and you can feel a pulling sensation in the sternum but i carnt say if it made my rib cage any bigger.

The muscles will be larger giving an appearance of an expanded rib cage.

And people get bigger anyway, even if you never look at a barbell you'd get bigger from your teens to your twenties
