FAO police officers/people in the know

Just a quick question, is this style of number plate illegal?

No mate.  The only one that's 100% legit is the standard font and the plate must have the makers details on it also.

My current plate has spacing in but I've never been pulled. Maybe I'm just lucky then.

Saying that my Mrs has a decent plate which is the 3D print font (silver shadow) and has never been warned for it.  Its also gone though the MOT at a main dealers, which it should have failed on.

It's one of those thing that unless you pulled over and act a c0ck you'll likely get away with it. Unless your plate it blatently hard to read or different I think most cops won't be too bothered by it. I see enough round my way too that are technically illegal but clearly aren't considered that much of a problem

I thought there was standard spacing and a choice of 3 standard fonts that you could have?
My old private plate J666 JJL had only that on the plate, no other info and no framing, and it was legal.

For road use they are supposed to have the Name and postcode of the company who made it and the BS standard number on them.  It was brought in to try and hinder criminals cloning car plates.
