FAO: those off to Malia

Can you recommend some sites to look at, areas and apartments to stay at please?

Looking for self catering, 7-10 nights from the 2nd to 3rd week of July.

Thanks in advance.

we stayed at Savvas studios, it's about 5 min walk to the strip 2 minute walk to hit the shops, there's a shop opposite the road to pick up lil bits, food, water, booze etc.. to eat we had quad bikes so headed further out which we found much nicer (quieter part of the town).

the accomodation was clean, nothing special but none of them are. Only prob is they get funny about 'visitors' late at night and threaten to slap you a fine if caught

there's a place next door to the savvas we could see in the distance that looks far livelier, one of those 18-30 things.. looked quite good in the eve the parties

I suggest visiting this site http://www.holidays-uncovered.co.uk/ and see the reviews for the hotels/studios/apartments that appear in the brochures from the travel agents. That's how i came about choosing the Savvas

wooooooooooooo. right yeah, our destination is malia.

how much spending money would i need for 1 week. would 100 quid sort me out inc days food?

thing is, im not going to drink so much as ill be on other stuff, if i can find it, is it easy to get hold of?

ive found a few places with thomsons that are self catering, a few mins walk from the bars at about 250-300 pp inc flights for 7 nights, does that sound about right??

If you work on 100 notes per day, you'll be fine. That includes food, drink nights out and maybe a jet ski or something.

I usually spend around that and the majority of my dough goes after 10pm on drink!

Nah u wont need that much for a week our flights and accom were 250 then i took 250 over there but think i lost most of it when we were dressed as nurses and it fell out my stockings (dont ask) so i got out another 100 so all in all i spent 600 and had a awesome week.

We just bought big bottles of vodka every day before we went out for about 9 euros each then some red bull or fruit juice and played drinking games for a few hours then when we hit the strip...
