Fallen in Love with Squatting+Deadlifting

Well ive always been a Benchpress man, with everyones focus always being on "how much dya bench" theres not really any people wondering why. But after taking 2 mental weeks off, todays session blew me away. First time trying to do free weight BB squats, i usually use the Smith machine and hate every second of it, but today using free weights i managed 70kg, and i felt asif i cuda gone heavier!

i felt much freer movement and loved it. Before that i was deadlifting and deadlift has always been my weakest point with my previous best being 60kg with very questionable form. but today my back felt 100x stronger and i worked 3 sets of 70 with strict form, and then did 100 for 4 reps, which yes was slightly less strict form but nonetheless 100kg!!! almost double my previous best.

im not sure what has happened in my 2 weeks off but now i feel completely revitalised and counting the seconds until tommorows session!

yes, deads are great, but squats make my legs and arse pay for a few days afterward.

Don't mind them at the moment as I've been making strength gains.

Absolutely hate having to do them when I'm cutting

    Quality

Great to hear someone getting into deadlifts and squats and loving it.

Nothing makes me feel like I do after a good deadlift session; exhausted and elated, kind of a dreamy, happy tiredness.. . oh and very hungry
