His philosophy was always my main attraction. The Tao Of Jeet Kune Do was a really interesting read and I think there's another book that chronicles all his writings etc Very intelligent man

Apparently Bruce Lee really liked ice cream, chocolate vanilla being his favorite. Conversely he really, really hated txt speak - and so do we. Osagi

Absolute massif fan when I was a lot younger; still am. I still remember on his 10th anniversary of his death. he would come back. But I was young! got loads of his books. Favourite film is Chinese Connection ( fists of fury). got an old video of it uncut; for then! and totally in Cantonese. just love the close up of the eyes; like they do in the old spaghetti westerns. dated now, but not the fights. However, I admire his martial arts skill far more than his films and like you said, had a degree in philosophy

ORIGINAL: beginner07 wahey great another bruce lee fan!! erm his martial arts and philosphy and bodybuilding. have u read any of his books?? Don't really think you can class Bruce as a 'bodybuilder' per se, however he was of course extremely dedicated in developing his body to it's fullest potential for his chosen way of life in the martial arts. Indeed Bruce saw the development of his body and his arts as an expression of 'the self', an example of how Bruce's philosophy permiated all aspects of his life, as indeed it does with any great philosopher. As for his books, I've read many books about Bruce, his life and his teachings from close friends, family and students. These give a good insight into the man and his life, however there are quite a few contradictions across the various sources of information. I don't think Bruce himself ever actually 'wrote' a book, the books being atrributed to him being based around a collection of his notes. These are perhaps as close as were ever going to get to the man himself in that regard. Osagi

I gues that would depend who you asked - for instance the guy did have an affair, cheating on his wife with two young kids at home who hardly got to see their father as they were growing up before his untimely death.
