Fat burners/test boosters

100% useless or not?  (salesmen opinions not considered valid)

It's a classic debate of do they work, or are they junk...

Some people do get a positive boost from these products, be it psychological or performance enhancing but it does boil down to the individual. The best way is to look up the contents of said supp and do some research as to what works and what doesn't.

Fat burners can help suppress appetite and give you a nice boost of energy to fuel sessions during a cut.

Test boosters don't work. There are some supplements that can increase sex drive which at lot of people confuse with increased testosterone levels, but they won't do crap for helping you grow faster. There's a dozen things on the market proposed as test boosters based on some broscience and pretty much all of them have been shown to be no better than placebos in human studies. Our HPTA is just not easily fooled.

There are some legal fat burners that work somewhat (mostly stims like caffeine, catechins, etc), but they don't usually do much of anything in terms of direct fat loss effect (ie taking them, sitting on the couch and expecting to lose fat), instead they shift the body's primary fuel source to fats rather than carbs and provide you with more energy and endurance to train more. If used properly (with a decent diet and training regimen) they can speed up your fat loss slightly, but don't expect miracles.

The only test booster which i rate is Black Lion Research Formeron and Viron. I've used this stack to help me with a recomp and I felt it did help with mild strength gains and helping me lean out. This stack gets some good reviews on Anabolic Minds. I haven't got any science to back this up, only my own experience.

Tauro test seemed to help me get a little leaner. I suppose getting bloods done would prove yes or no but any natural test booster is minimal compared to the real thing. Tauro test is supposed to supress estrogen a little too. White button mushroom iirc . Of course none of them live up to the hype/marketing they come with.

Re fat burners, as above, benefits are mostly through a decreased appetite rather than any big thermogenic effect. Clen, epherdrine, dnp is a different story lol.
Warrior Blaze is decent though.

Black Lion research labs do have a fat burner out to, I'm yet to try it. It's got a special extract of green tea in it. Based on there there other products I would be tempted to try there fat burner out.

There is some research behind the use of Yombine ( hard to get hold of, but Century Supplements which are a board sponser sell it) , using it pre cardio it's meant speed up fat burning up a bit, some people swear by it.

It is something I've looked at with great interest, but never tried. It does get very good reviews though.

To hit the right amount that matches the research you to take quiet a lot. 0.2mg per kilogram of body weight (the tablets are normally 2.5 mg).

I think this is the study reference -

Goldberg MR Robertson D. Yohimbine: a pharmacological probe for study of the a 2-adrenoceptor. Pharmacol Rev 1983;35:143-180.

Forskohlii is another supplement with some promise and some science behind it.

That starts getting expensive for someone over 100kg.

It's pretty good, doses over 10mg can give you heart palps.

Fat burners hmm depends, i had a sticking point and found not even alphamine was touching it, seems my body was refusing to let go despite cals being low.

Only combination i find really worked was tta and alcar, but like everything in this game you'll get a few that won't respond.
I've yet to  find one that really suppresses hunger, only thing that did was sibutramine and im not a fan of the potential sides.

As for test boosters, something like tauro test did lean be a bit but it's effect was mild.

Now forskolin i love, ebay has a 90% extract for peanuts, just two scoops a day is plentiful, i find it helps burn fat but more importantly it's a good gda so should i overspill on the calories, it'll help prevent it being stored as fat.

Truth be told there's only a small group of products that work, and has the science to back it up.

I have found test boosters useful if your test level suppressed below what your body would naturally produce. I.e if coming off aas or a ph cycle or just someone with a poor lifestyle(health wise), I found them useful for speeding up the recovery rate back to your normal level.

But for lifetime natural that lives a relatively clean lifestyle, I don't see them being effective

Ephedrine and yohimbine work, but they only do so much, some test boosters do increase test a very small amount.

Formeron is a PH/steroid, but functions as an AI, by the way. Awesome product though.
