Ferrari F40

Today I had the pleasure of sitting in an F40 ( at the Elvetham Heath Car Show); unfortunately it was stationary but it was still a bit of a thrill!  Explaining to my uninterested gf why it was no ordinary Ferrari didn't take the edge off it!

What great car experiences have you had recently?

That, in my opinion, is the greatest car of all time!  I was obsessed with it through my childhood.

I got the airbag warning light in my Golf sorted but I guess that doesn't really count.

It was also special because it was one of the first supercars I read about as a teenager back in the late 80s, and I got to sit in it (which was really difficult to do, especially as i was trying so hard to avoid scratching the paintwork).

At least the car had had some life, and had not just sat around looking pretty, because it had 21000 miles on the clock. The guy displaying the car told me of its acceleration from 160 on a road not too far away...

Got to sit in a McLaren F1 in their showroom in London at the time, must have been at least 12 years ago or so.

Brilliant, really memorable experience that. Loved it.

Lovely car. Its always great when you get a chance to have a good look around and sit in a nice car like that.

I drove a new M3 the other day at Brands Hatch. Lovely car, gave it as much as I could, ended up getting 90% on their grading.
Been in fair few cars over last few years - F430, Enzo, 599, SLR, Zonda F Roadster to name a few. Use to do car photography and had some contacts.

I did a track day recently, high speed passenger ride in a lotus elise, then drove an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, a Lambourghini Guillardo and a bit of off roading in a land rover to fill in the waiting time.
    Best day out ever!

My Dad had to store this in one of his units overnight when I was about 14 , I got to sit in it -  that was pretty cool
