Few noob questions

Hi all, I'm new to this site and weight-lifting. I just have quick few questions, when is the most beneficial to your body, in the morning or night at the gym? I could do either but in the morning before work around 9-10am would be the most convenient. I have bought some supplement's but could someone be kind enough to give me perhaps a few links to the best (value for money) supplements around?

I searched on this site and google'd etc but did not find decent enough info regarding these points.

Thanks

    Welcome to MT

    Re: training times.

It doesn't matter, everyone is different. The best time to train is the time when you will be most able to focus, get to the gym consistently and enjoy it the most.

I would add though that you should leave 30 mins between getting up and training.

    Re: supplements

Do you really need these? What is your diet like?

There was a recent study published that suggested that training later in the day but the differences are not massive enough to justify changing workout times. The benefit is not that huge. Like drew says supplements should only be used in addition to a good diet, so it might be an idea to post it up and get it reviewed

My diet does not start until next monday, I've just recently quit smoking so I'm eating like a pig! I was going to follow eating plan as on http://www.mealplansite.com/sports-bodybuilding-new-gain.as

I was thinking of supplements as in weight-gain powders, and creatine etc, my metabolism is really fast , guess I would be considered "skinny" for my height but I weigh around 191 pounds

Training times whatever is convient for you doesnt matter to much.
Supplements the only one you need to start of with is whey but its not essential just a very good protein source for you PWO and any time during the day you need protien.
    www.myprotein.co.uk do some good deals.
Get your diet sorted in the Diet forum on here if you havent done already.
