First prop injection

Hi. I did my first prop injection today of 1ml, I found the guide in the articles section a great help so all is good... and went well.

I have a burning question though, it says to aspirate and check there’s no blood where you inject. If you forgot this, And did inject by mistake without checking for blood, like is it life threatening? I’m sorry if this is a dumb question to ask

I've never aspirated in 20+ years and it's no longer used in the medical profession, so no worries there then 👍

Thank you. I don’t know if I’m using the right terms... I mean if I by mistake inject it into a blood vessel instead of muscle, is that like a hospital job?

Nah no hospital job and you'll struggle to inject into a vein/vessel in a muscle tbh, if you did then it would dissipate over time.

I always aspirate..and couple of times I have hit a vein where my syring filled up with blood..
But the doc never aspirate..I went to boots to get flu jab, she did not even know what aspiration was..
The docs told me that you have to go in an angle like the heroin addict do, to inject into a vein..
Still a mystery how my syring filled up with blood few years ago when injection my quads

Neither did I (know what aspiration was) until I joined here and read the articles. It was surprisingly painless too so all is good!
