Re: Floydy: Born to train - No Plan B 2017/09/17 15:00:34 (permalink)
Plans today were for a legs session followed by some cardio, but I shelved that idea for a top-up on my previous two upper body sessions. Just to seal in those muscle gainzzz…

Sunday 16/9/17

“TRIPLESET”:
Tricep extensions / BB curls / BB Forearm reverse curls:
12 x40 ext / 20x15kg curls / 10x15kg f/arm curls
12 x50 ext / 20x15kg curls / 10x15kg f/arm curls
12 x60 ext / 20x15kg curls / 10x15kg f/arm curls
12 x70 ext / 20x15kg curls / 10x15kg f/arm curls
*Came up with this idea as I was in progress with the first set. A standard superset of the tri extensions and BB curls, but adding a third set to include forearm reverse curls as well, plus the extensions were adding 10kg each time too. A sort of all-round arms workout in one go and eee by gum did I feel some pumped up limbs after that lot. An absolute killer!
That would have done for the whole session really as it was now a right effort to get my arms into a ‘relaxed’ state to do anything else! But I persevered….

DB press, 15° incline bench:
6x26
6x28
6x30

DB press, 30° incline bench (flat end press):
10x20
10x20
10x20

E-Z preacher curls, low pull, c/g:
12x28
12x33
8x38
6x43
4x48
6x38
10x28
12x23
20x18
*Made up for the exercise I missed out yesterday. Went up the weights until I reached a below-par pinnacle of 48kgs, due obviously for the earlier thrashing on that triple set, coupled with the fact that my arms were still meant to be recovering after yesterday’s session, but happy enough considering and well-pumped to boot.

Arms, especially the biceps were totally obliterated. Promptly went out to a village pub with Mrs. Floyd. Ate a gorgeous home-made steak & ale pie. Sadly, only one pint as at work tonight

Next upper body session mid-week, legs before that.

Time: 50 mins.

Thanks for reading

How on earth did you manage that lot in 50 minutes? Great work mate. Love the sound of those triple sets too - must try them.

Back to bodybuilding? I'm having a mid-life crisis: https://www.muscletalk.co...e-crisis-m5455232.aspx

Thanks Dave. Ooo it was beautiful mate. A massive quarter of a 12" pie full of mouth-watering braised steak

Just the four exercises Eugene, it's surprising what you can get through in a short space of time, plus I didn't rest much between sets.

Yeah, give 'em a go. I'd like to see how a younger chappie like yourself gets on
