Flyers first or Press first?


What is considered best practise when training chest, Flyers first or Press first?

    As a vague, general rule most will do stronger lifts first so pressing would take priority. Altho some like to pre-exhaust with isolations in which case they would do flyes first

    for bodybuilding puprose.
    both options can work well.

    for strenght. i would do pressing 1st. though quite a lot of people would not bother with flies motion for strength

    alternate weekly

    CURRENT STAT
    get shreded. 16st 7lbs-15st 7lbs 6ft, to 14st 9lbs (Feb 2011)

    I'd always do heavy compounds 1st while the stabiliser muscles are strong and fresh.

    i have tried doing flys first but i dont like the weight i can handle if they are my first exercise... not kind to the biceps.

    tom platz tore his bicep tendon doing these and it creeps me out
