Following on from Pred's post about his mum....

....how many others of you, do your family know that you use steroids and what is their opinion of it ?

My mum, auntie, brother, partner and a couple of friends know and they are all totally cool with it.

And also did you tell them, or did they catch you and discover your secret lol

How about you ?

My mams a retired nurse and one day she just said are you taking steroids,i denied it but she still gave me a lecture on the risks of an enlarged heart and possible liver damage, carn't blame her as her brother ran the local weightlifting club back in the 50s and looked the picture of health but dropped down dead from a massive heart attack at 34 and he was natural.

Just bout everyone I know, know's I like gear.

My mom know's everything, couldn't really hide the HGH in the fridge behind the eggs.
Also told my dad as the take the heat off my younger bro.

If someone comes and asks me I just tell the truth.

My GF who's a nurse doesn't realy like it, but I hardly drink and don't smoke plus train my ass off to look as good as I can.
I don't see what's wrong with the odd "performance enhancer" here and there.

How do people who are nurses talk about all the dangers of steroids when they are in the position to also understand all the good they have done and the fact that they are keeping thousands of people alive on this planet as we speak.

If you ever have any problems with people and want to give them a more balanced even view show them this 2 part documentary below.

My Ma asked me last week and i told her straight that i was. She was totally cool she just said as long as you know what your doing and went back to watching poker face.

She was actually made up i was open enough with her to tell her. She's fairly switched on and were close so i was actually dying to tell her, im lucky i guess.

m8 i have nothing against gear users, but thats SUCH a poor argument im literally laughing out loud.

when we prescribe medication for a condition it is about balancing the risk:benefit ratio. someone is dieing of cancer- you prescribe medication which is likely to make them v ill & risk seriously reduce their vision (side effects of chemo & tamoxifen), but thats better than dieing!!!

the steroids prescribed by doctors are FAR lower dosages than bbers use.

If you watch the links that I have posted up mate you will see that there are NO long term high dose steroid experiments that have been documented or carried out by anyone.

I am not stupid enough to think they are the nectar of the gods but it annoys the crap out of me that so many medical experts talk about drugs they do not really have the first understanding about based on he said she said hear say.
For every paper out there showing 1 negative I can show you another disproving that point under certain criteria.

It makes me angry when docs/ nurses say these things when they stand in front of you over weight or they have a drink when they get home or buy there kids mc'd and ignore all of the data that tells us of the damage these things cause which is just as bad as steroids.

All the things I say are what I have done and what I have found instead of what i have read.
