Food choices when out and about and hungry?

I was out last night with a couple of people from work. Towards midnight I started to get very hungry indeed.

The choices I had at my disposal are in the poll. Sorry if it's dull but this stuff actually does interest me.

Which would you have gone for?

Probably a kebab, chicken shish with salad and pitta is OK.

Today I found myself in a similar situation, out and about for far longer than I expected, hadn't eaten for 5 hours.  Saw a mobile burger van and had a cheeseburger!  That's all i've eaten today so far aside from 2 pieces of toast for breakfast.  Dreadful.

Take some class A's when out and avoid the need for food.

Just to add that the kebab shop in question is a bit ropey.

They don't do chicken shish as most people know them. Their chicken shish is already cooked cubes of chicken breast in some sort of tikka marinade. They just heat the chicken cubes up in the microwave and slap it in some pitta bread with salad and sauce.

It's not bad and is still probably the healthiest option I had, but I like my chicken shish cooked fresh on the grill in front of me.

For your information I went for a bakers oven. To find a bakery open at that time of night was quite a novelty so I had a sausage roll and a slice of pizza.

I'm not a cake or a rat, so it's all good!

On a serious note, I'd go to for a curry if it was open. A Jalfrezi and a cheese chilli garlic naan washed down with some cobra.

If I am drinking then its usually a donner.

If I am out in the day and hunger strikes I used to have a double cheese burger from McDs but now I have perhaps a tuna mayo single from pret or maybe a shake from H&B.

Last weekend I got a large donner for the journey home and then got a 13" pizza to eat when I got in.

    So wrong but so right.

It's all about the kebab shop.

Chicken shish with chilli sauce. Excelente!
