If your routine includes the likes of Deadlifts, Barbell/Dumbbell rows, chins etc then you dont really need specific forearm work.

That said i do wrist curls once a week usually after bicep work. I think these are best done with an olympic bar picked up off low rack pins heald behind you as in Barbell hack squats, you then curl the bar with your wrists and fingers, a rep range of around 15 works for me.
the pump is awsome! (that dosnt mean a lot i know)

I very much disagree that you only need heavy, compound, non-forearm specific exercises to get big forearms. As with any bodypart, they will grow from whatever stimulation they get, but direct stimulation is always best. As I've said many times before, I can deadlift 200kg, do 22 bodyweight pull-ups or 3 with 35kg, but my forearms, which I've never worked directly are hardly bigger than the day I started training.

I'd suggest doing some reverse curls and wrist curls, as often as you train any other similar bodypart (eg biceps).

Thanks guys, different ideas but I think i will specifically train them. I usually train after triceps and chest. I never thought by deadlifting they indirectly work the forearms also.

    Cheers guys.

They're fairly good for forearms, provided you do them very strictly. Better than deadlifts certainly.

SO when your performing deadlifts you are also at the same time building up your forearms, i never really knew that.

    Cheers guys

I wouldn't say building up. Like I said, my forearms don't grow at all from deadlifts, although obviously they do some work, or I'd drop the bar.

I've never found wrist curls to benefit me. On top of my other sessions I do thick bar DLs/Holds and plate curls, which I do find have helped some - tho I'm clearly not gifted in these extreme area, my calves look aweful too yet are pretty strong.
