Fuelling an 800m running race?

Sorry for non-BB related post!

Anyone with anyknowledge of fuelling for running races I would like your help please .

My sister runs 800m competitvley and is one of the best in Wales for her age. She doesn't eat anything especially to fuel her race.

I was just wondering what should she be eating the night and morning before the race. Her races are usually around 1pm.

asa above - small portions regularly. In addition over the longer term she may wish to improve her power to weight ratio. However I'm guessing she's a kid yes?

    Yeh shes 15.

    So basically:
Meal night before race = starchy carbs eg. pasta
Brekfast morning before race = starchy carbs eg. weetabix/oats
Pre race (30mins?) = fast acting carbs eg. lucozade?

    Is that about it?

I'd make pre-race a combo of fast and slow
