Get back in shape after accident
I'm in need of some random advice.
I had an Road Traffic Accident about 2months ago. Was injured quite badly so I've been at home since. I have put on some weight during this time which I am desperate to lose now and get back into shape.
Before the accident, I was a generally slim-ish in build. I was relatively fit, but not at the levels I used to be when I was younger.
The doctors have given me the all clear to resume normal life now. I can't lift anything heavy for a few weeks yet so weights is out of the question, so I was thinking starting with a light jog/running exercise.
My aim/goals are:
Getting Fit - General Fitness and stamina
Lose Weight - Tummy fat and general slimming down
My questions are:
Do you think this is a good/simple exercise to start with?
If not, what are the alternatives?
Is there a programme/structure I should follow in order to achieve my goals to the maximum?
Or am I just overthinking this and I should just shut up and run! :-)
