Getting an unexpected bill depreciation thread

Don't you just hate it when a bill comes out of the blue and leaves you brassic?

Especially when you know you are being ripped off.

Nah, its not as bad as I make out.

I failed a module in my last year of uni so had to retake one the following term, meaning I would be back for an extra half year.
I paid for the module (about £200) I was retaking as a part time student and re-enrolled.
Now after completing the work and expecting to get my results I was told my account had been suspended for non payment of fees.
Now they are trying to make out that I asked to be registered as a full time student so now owe £1150 and they won't let me get my results or graduate until I pay.

Is it worth giving in to them? I don't even know if I passed so I could be paying this grand just to find out I failed.
