Getting the message through

Hi all

First - Kitty - thanks a billion for your advice. It has prettymuch confirmed that I'm moving in the right direction. I've taken on board your comments about my diet too and will add some protein at breakfast-time etc, A BIG THANK-YOU!

How many women do we all know who are on permanent diets? They eat virtually nothing apart from processed 'diet' food, join a gym, go mad for a few months, maybe lose a couple of pounds and then get bored, put it all on again and more. I always suggest a little weight-training, but their stock reply is "No - I don't want big muscles - it's a bad as being fat". WAH! It's so frustrating. I LOVE my increased muscle mass and so does my b/f who is quite muscly across the shoulders & upper arms himself (from working, not working out!). I have one friend who is quite overweight, tall like me, and if she could only get it together with a weights programme, would achieve good results but unfortunately she subscribes to the 'fat turning to muscle' myth, does more cardio which makes her hungry, then eats loads and doesn't lose any weight! Very frustrating especially when you are living proof that a weights programme really works and they still won't listen!

At last, there are NORMAL women out there!!!

Haven't been into it seriously myself for too long, but it frustrates the hell out of me hearing other women go on about their diets, running endless hours on the treadmill and all the comments you get if you dare to be seen drinking a protein shake!!!!

Am looking forward to increasing my muscle size hopefully over the next few years, and boy is it more fun lifting weights than doing hours of cardio????

Keep lifting girls, great to hear stories of others doing the same thing
