Getting to America....

My current dream and ambition in life is to move to California,Venice Beach.

I want to move out their as it is the hotspot for bodybuilding and a great place to live.

I know i will never be pro etc etc but that's not the point - just want to go their and watch the pros/big guys train be a part of it and learn etc.
Also want to go their becuase i am getting fed of of England

Life their would just be so much better it seems, get more girls and all.

etc etc

how do i go about getting a green card??

Does anybody know any companies i can work for to get in to America?

Or could i go to america with a 6 month visa , return to the uk for 1 day and go out for another 6 months again?

It is my ambition to live in Venice Ca. sorry if it sounds pathetic

    Have you googled it???

I'd get a visa and visit first.

All of the foreigners I've met have been students. If you are thus inclined, I would recommend seeking a degree here. Then you can get an internship who may sponcer you. You have to prove you offer a valuable skill, and if you are already functioning in that capacity, you're halfway there.

Of course that may not be how it works at all... sounded good though, right?

    my word

i am lost here, i thought the post was meant to have gone in this thread

    http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/Did_you_do_what_you_dreamt_of_when_you_grew_up%3F/m_625251/tm.htm

MM, you have to have a skill, i cant imagine what on earth it could be, but you have to have something

OR do something like camp/work america, even then you would not be assured of getting to your chosen destination although the scheme does allow for travel after the 'summer work' has finished

TBH i think your only hope of making an impression on venice beach is to sell the best ice creams going and as for getting girls, i may be wrong here but stepping across the interantional time line is hardly going to make a difference to how attractive you are.
saying that, the american girls do like english comedy

keep the thread serious? again, where do i start? you simply must have far too much time on your hands

run a search for campamerica and BUNAC although i fear you will have to be a uni student to get some work (or be on a gap year, and i dont mean a gap from reality)

Steve have you ever actually been to Venice? I have and its a complete dump and LA is generally a sh*t place imo.

Oh and although I know this is only an idea try to stick to short term goals and dont concetrate on your BBing dream. Just concentrate on the next pound of muscle gain.

The grass always appears to be greener elsewhere, however the reality may not be the case!

Lee Priest said in one of his videos when he was in the golds or worlds gym in venice beach at 5am - look what a wonderful place this is, there's a car getting jacked, there's a homeless guy sleeping on the street - obviously he was taking the p1ss.

It's not all sunshine and roses mate - far better to go towards San Francisco or further up the coast for a better quality of life.
