Girls, reports please

Ok girls, it must be a month since I last asked....how's things going? Training progress please! Any ups and downs?

Tank Girl we know is nearly ready for her contest!!! Inspiring us all.

Nikki, Philia and I had the pleasure of meeting up recently for for a drink (of water) a meal (of protein bars) . It was great to meet like-minded girlies!

My training, well I have my journal anyway but for those of you who dont read it, I have a struggle at the moment on the gymnastics side - my weights have been going so well I have packed on some good muscle, but now I seem to be too heavy to chuck myself about without getting injuries!

Levi we know has been trying the PH with good results...any more plans levi?

How are the rest of you getting on? newbies, anybody.

I'm doing alright, I know I could get better results but I live with my parents and don't have access to too many heavy weights. I finally convinced them to buy me some better foods...working on the protein supps. I don't think I'm getting enough protein and getting too many carbs, but I'm always hungry and some days I have no appetite... I read your journal and I really want abs like urs...lol so perfect.

Not so bad GBLiz, thank you for asking

Although I have missed some workouts lately through the hot weather & being generally busy.
I've been concentrating on my flat benching whichI always struggled with but finally seem to have cracked it by switching to more of a power lifting style. Anyway I can finaly get a few reps out of a half decent weight
Back training is comming on OK, can now do chins with a 10kg weight, everything else is ticking over.

I can kind of relate to that, although I'm not at all gymnastic, I always practised yoga and kept up a good level of flexibility, but I've let it go of late, & that combined with back injuries and some extra muscle means I've lost alot of flexibility.

    Always a price to pay!

How many with a 10kg weight medusa? You realise I will have to try and beat you now haha! The most weight I have tried is 6.25 kg for 5 reps...but I can give 10kg a go for a laugh! (ummm maybe!)

Italianbabe- perfect abs? hahaha I dont think so! I want them far more blocky. But I am lucky in that I don't carry much fat round my middle, i never have done. It's on my thighs instead grrrrr!!

yes, i have the increased weight/injury problem too. i'm sure its only been about 6 weeks but i cant remember i time when running didn't hurt.

but i have to tell myself the pain is correcting my gait and will improve my running in the long term.

i have got back up to 2 days of 6.5 miles and while my feet have hurt i've been able to walk, so i rested yesterday and i'm going for 6.5 today then back up to 8 tomorrow, and if thats okay i will be back to full distance, i haven't been worried about times.

What with the 45 + degree heat and no air conditioning and recouping from an operation I havent set foot inside a gym for about six weeks although I have been cycling a lot.

September 1st it all starts again as I have (hopefully) got a competition to enter and my mindset is much better than it has been of late.

Me, I'm back in France, working as usual.
The heat wave has gone so everything is a little bit more breathable.
Training as usual. I'll start a "body weight only" routine for a couple of weeks (I'll write everything down in my journal!) SO I'll be able to do the standing push ups just like Gymbabeliz!! [}:)][:p]

I just broke my personal record of bench press yesterday (60kgs) so I'm quite happy for that. It's great to see that all the work is giving results.
My boxing and aerobic classes will start in September.

    My future goals/plans?
-I want to add at least 10kgs more to my bench press
-I want to be able to do standing push ups
-To do at least 10 wide hand pull ups in one row (I can only do 4!)
-Keep on shaping my legs and
-start swimming since I want to participate in a small Triathlon in April/May 2004

I got a small fitness competition in April 04 but I'm not sure if I'll have something else before that.

What else? Oh I'll start the courses becoming a fireman (woman!) in January so that will be quite physically as well.

Now professionally I got A LOT OF plans as well, and I just hope I'll have enough time to do it all!

Ha ha, wish it was a little scar. Its the third time they have gone in through there and the weather didnt help the healing process so its quite angry looking

Still cant wait to get in the gym again. The 30 km bike rides arent cutting it at the moment!

hi girls!! yep, i'm on the last few days before my comp. am on day two of my carb depletion and save for the blank expression on my face and the empty look (according to my family) in my eyes i think i'm doing ok. certainly hanging in there. am currently researching how long, what amounts and times to properly load my carbs for before the contest. i have brown rice, sweet potatoes, dried fruit and some honey (for right before going on stage)

i'm not where i wanna be fat% wise, although i know that lots of it is because of lose skin and not being this size for a long time. my goal is to get this skin tighter by trying not to gain all my weight back the wrong way. but i'm definitely going for a pizza right after the contest!! (hey i gotta give this poor body a rest, too, right?!)[:I]

so, girls, keep your fingers crossed for me! will have pictures of the event, promise!
