Go get em Dwain

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/athletics/8169008.stm

Would love to see him get some medals after all he has been through. Many would have given up a long time ago, i know i would have done.

He gets thrashed at the british trials. i keep reading comments from ppl around him that he's ready to drop a quick time, he prob is training well. But from his races he's shown nothing of a medal yet, looks more likely to scrape into the final.

Williamson on the other hand is a medal threat.

most athletes take creatine tho, they just cycle it so they dont get busted

I do a lot of push ups and sit ups. And I drink plenty of milk.

Athletes are subject to random testing - so cycling is impossible. Creatine isn't a banned substance either.

Very few elite athletes will miss tests, their governing body/federation is informed where they are pretty much every day so they're aware of where to find them prior to a sample being taken.

Look what happened to Rio Ferdinand when he missed a test.

But passing drugs tests means nothing.

How many times would Justin Gatlin have been tested before he got caught? Our own Linford Christie too?

With the right team around you advising then chances of getting caught are pretty slim.

Dwain hasn't a cat in hells chance of a medal imo but all the best to the guy

He did give up a long time ago, he gave up running an honest race, which is why he's been through what he's been through.

I wonder if he'll be welcomed back into 4x100m team that had to return their medals because of his cheating last time around?

Isn't the rule, "miss two tests and you serve a ban" anyway?

He doesn't have a chance frankly, but I'd wish him all the best nonetheless.

He definitely has a chance, I think he trains with Williamson, he has in the past. Williamson is definitely in the running for a medal at Berlin with Asafa's big champs choking and tyson Gay having groin problems. If chambers is consistently doing better than Williamson in training he's got a chance. Also chambers ran that 6.42 in the 60m which is freaking mega quick, that puts him about 3rd ever over 60m admittedly not many run it, but only Mo greene ahead of him and someone else.

I also read that he was tired going into the trials because he was running lots of smaller meets doing 100 n 200 to put food on the table because the big meets won't have him and he's got kids and a wife.

Rested up and a good peak he can potentially get that bronze. I'd say Williamson most likely at the moment though out of the 2.

Afaik, Chambers has not broke 10 secs this season...

He will not get a medal with such performances. Bolt, Gay etc would beat him even on crutches.  (obviously im over exagerrating but you get my point)

Bolt's going to breeze this 100 final if he gets a half decent start, he truly is a freak of nature in terms of sprinting.
