Going to Amsterdam and using 3 mobile network ,help please

First of all sorry I'm on my iPhone. Ok I'm hoping someone has been in my situation and can clarify something . I'm of to Amsterdam soon and my partner will be in the uk, we both use the 3 network. I have phoned 3 a number of times for prices to call each otherwise.Twice I have been told I will be charged x amount of money to do so . I wanted to check this was correct so Phoned 2 more times to be told that phone calls would just be deducted off our inclusive minutes , as they class Amsterdam as London ? Don't know what to believe . Who's had first hand experience ? Thanks Mathew

I'm not sure about calls but I'm pretty sure texts are included ok.

I will double check this for you as I have a friend that travels Europe regularly and was in Amsterdam recently.

He's not with 3 but I think the same rules apply as 3 cancelled their '3 like home' policy ages ago

If you can mate that would be great . Just can't understand how people from the same call centre can be different.
