Good amount of cardio?

Here's my cardio plan that I'll be using in the upcoming months.

Sunday: off
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 30 or 45 minutes of cardio after lifting
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: 30 or 45 minutes cardio in the morning and 30 or 45 minutes of the night

I've tried HIIT, but found it made me compromise on my weight training too much (couldn't recover fast enough with the amount of calories I was eating so my squats and deadlift suffered)

So does that look about right? Would 30 or 45 minutes be better, maybe start out with 30 and after a few weeks go up to 45? On Tues, Thur, Sat would it be better to get it all in at once or split it up like like I have it? The main reason I split it up is so I can be able to do some type of training more often, I just like working out and the more I do the better I feel (within reason of course)

    Alcatrez,
What intensity of cardio are you doing is the first question? Secondly what is your goal?

if cardio respiritory efficency [fitness in a very liberal sense]is your goal then have a relitivly high HR in your sesssions and go for it. if you want fat loss, i would cut that to 4-5 days a week and go for 30min, or 3 days a week and go for 50-60mins.

fitness and stamina = high HR [75-90% MHR]
fat loss and general toning = lower HR [50-65% MHR]

are you a begginer or experinced? that is too much for a begginner imo, if not then crack on.

    good luck matey.

It would be low intensity cardio, purely for fat loss.

So basically, you would recommend dropping the second session on Tues, Thur, Sat and the session after legs on Wednesday?

Muscle loss shouldn't be a problem since I'll be on another cyle while doing it, that's why I had so much in there.
