USA DEALS

Gotham

Just a heads up for anyone who may be interested. Watched the 1st 3 episodes of Gotham (it starts here soon I think). It's really good. Based mainly around Commissioner Gordon (so far) when Bruce Wayne is a kid.

Have it series linked. Heard mixed reports but it was always going to be a show that polarised the fans. Risky enough doing a show with those characters but with no Batman.

Don't want to spoil it too much but the fella playing the Penguin is playing a good role so far.

I really liked it. I really like Sean Pertwee and he makes a very good Alfred.

I didn't like him as Alfred at all, far too casual for a butler.

But we never saw how he was with Thomas or Martha Wayne.
Alfred and Bruce have a different type of relationship. Closest to a young Michael Caine they could have got IMO

I meant how he was with Gordon, he called him mate, that would never happen. Caine was awesome.

I agree. He sounds Australian most of the time as well!

I'm liking the series so far. Favourite is Jada Pinkett-Smith as Fish Mooney! She's chewing up the scenery like a bad-ass.
