Nice volume of the squats there. With your deads Im guessing chalk while usinga fatgrip would not help grip wise?

I already use chalk.  It helps a lot, I'd hardly manage any reps without it. Its just a case of me not being able to squeeze the bar hard enough for long enough! Which is why I'm thinking of throwing some static holds at the end.

Week 9 Wednesday

Bench - 60 x 2, 70 x 2, 80 x 2, 90 x 2, 95 x 2, 95 x 2, 95 x 2, 90 x 2

Anderson Squats - 70 x 8, 90 x 6, 100 x 4

Calves - 100 x 30, 125 x 20, 150 x 10

BB Shrugs - 100 x 20, 125 x 16, 150 x 12

Front Raises - 20kg plate x 20, 12, 8

Another great workout. Everything felt good and strong. Bench press form was the most comfortable I've felt in a long time actually, and really nice to do the extra 'work' sets. I really focused on my feet position this time and keeping my elbows in at around 45° so it felt like I really have improved. Hope this continues.

I cant stop eating lately, I'm constantly hungry so I think this is helping. I need to weigh myself to see where I'm at but my scales need new batteries and I haven't gotten round to replacing them yet.

Cheers Floydy, its getting there!

Not taking anything other than Creatine and BCAA's. My appetite has just shot up, it usually does when I start hitting the heavier weights but right now its more than ever before. I quite like it though. I've always struggled to put weight on and if I have a few 'off' days such as no training or lower appetite I can lose it quite quickly as well which does my head in sometimes. I do eat a lot of clean food, plenty of fruit and veg, but I also don't shy away from sweet stuff and snacking. If I'm hungry I'll eat it.

I've always been 100% natty but after reading a few of the other members SARM's logs and doing a bit of other reading up I have actually decided to give SARM's a go. I never really knew anything about them until only a couple of weeks ago. I purchased some Ostarine (Revolver25) from BodyConscious the other day and they should arrive tomorrow, although I won't be taking them until I finish my current routine so another 3 weeks yet. I was at first worried that Ostarine could suppress my appetite but online research showed that this is usually not the case.

I'm similar to you on the SARMS front bud. I'm 52-and-a-half and I've never taken anything more dangerous than protein shakes. But I thought "why the Hell not"?
Last month I started taking LGD capsules which I'm sure gave me a basic foundation of sorts as after 2-3 weeks I noticed more density to my muscles and some weight increase. I have now started on Ostarine (which most on here swear by) and we'll take it from there. Worth a try mate?

I'm 31 this month, and have been training for about 12 years (although as mentioned at the start of my log, only trained 'heavy' for the last couple of years). So I think now is probably an OK time for me to try out some assistance.

Steroids don't appeal to me at all, not that I've got a problem with steroid users, I've looked into them, but they're not for me. SARM's on the other hand seem like a very good alternative. And they're cheap! Why not eh?

Good to see those pointers on bench helping mate. Good stuff!

Are you planning to get blood tests done before and after osta as some have reported drops in some hormone levels.

Yes thanks again Brett, definitely has helped.

I'm looking into it, but I'm not too keen on the idea of going to see my GP and asking them if they would do it for me. I'm also pretty skint at the moment so paying to go private isn't really feasible. From research only some users have reported a drop in hormone levels, so risk seem relatively low. I think I'm going to just go for it and see how it goes. However I might just play it safe and take some PCT after anyway.

Meh my gp was pretty good. Signed me up for 5 blood test forms on the spot lol. Only gripe is he wanted it on the records. Definitely have some pct ready just in case you are one of the unlucky ones.

Week 9 Friday

Deadlift - 70 x 2, 110 x 2, 150 x 2, 160 x 2, 170 x 2, 180 x 2, 185 x 2, 180 x 2

Front Squat - 70 x 8, 80 x 6, 85 x4, 90 x 2

Pull Ups - BW x 10, BW+10 x 7, 5

Deadlifts felt good up to 180, my 185 even though I got 2 reps out my form wasn't the best. Back was rounding again, the lift still feels fairly easy but I know form shouldnt be sacrificed so I really need to improve on this. Enjoying doing more volume though on the big lifts, however it's taking up more time so I can't always fit everything in, which is why I skipped arms after. Not too bothered tho.

Cheers mate, I'm really pushing myself at the moment with the extra volume, I'm determined to get that 200kg again next week. Like I said before though I'm starting to lose my form on the heavier weights, I need to try and keep my shoulders back on the bottom part of the lift as that's what causing my back to round a bit. I'll try and get a video up soon so everyone can see what I mean and hopefully give me some critique.
The front squats aren't feeling too bad, they feel like more of a cardio exercise than strength at the moment as it really takes some energy out of me!

Week 10 Monday

Squats - 70 x 2, 100 x 2, 110 x 2, 120 x 2, 130 x 2, 135 x 2, 137.5 x 2, 135 x 2

Deficit Deadlift - 100 x 5, 125 x 5, 150 x 4

Upright Rows - 65 x 10, 10, 10

Calves - 100 x 30, 125 x 20, 150 x10

Lat Raises - 12kg DB (with fatgripz) x 12, 12, 12

Squats are getting better, interested to see how I get on next week when I test out 1rm. Hopefully I won't bottle it and fail miserably lol.

Week 10 Wednesday

Bench - 60 x 2, 70 x 2, 80 x 2, 90 x 2, 95 x 2, 97.5 x 2, 95 x 2, 90 x 2

Romanian Deadlift - 70 x 12, 90 x 10, 110 x 8, 130 x 6

DB Shoulder Press - 30kg x 7, 7, 6

Biceps (EZ Curl) - 42.5kg x 12, 10

Tricep Extensions - 25kg plate x 20, 15

Bit of a struggle today! I got a bit more weight on the bench which I was happy with but I really had to grind out the 2nd rep on the last 3 sets, I managed to complete them though so it's still progress.

Messed up on my deadlifts, I was meant to start at 100kg and do 3 sets but after my second set I realised I had forgotten to put 2x15kg plates on! So I had to make up for it and change my plan a bit.

DB shoulder press felt weak as well, but that's because I was already fatigued from bench so no surprises really.

Skipped the last set of bi's and tri's as I was pretty knackered by then lol.

Deadlift - 70 x 2, 110 x 2, 150 x 2, 160 x 2, 180 x 2, 190 x 2, 180 x F, 150 x 4

That was all I did today, it was getting late as I had to put the kids to bed as the Mrs is out tonight. Plus it's my birthday so thought I'd just do my main lift and then have a chill.

Dont know why I failed the 180, just didn't have it in me after doing the 190, kids must have tired me out!

It's 1 rep max week!

Week 11 Monday

Squats - bar x 20, 110 x 2, 130 x 1, 135 x 1, 140 x 1, 142.5 x 1, 145 x 1, 110 x 5

DB Shoulder Press - 30 x 9, 8, ,7

BB Rows - 70 x 12, 10, 8

Increase of 5kg on my squat since last time I tested 1RM, which is 6 weeks ago. I'm pretty happy with that. Does that seem good to you? Or do you think it should be more?

Lets see what bench and deadlift bring.

Hi mate personally I'd be asking for more if strength training is your goal. However so many factors eating, sleeping, training regimen and genetics all play a role. End if the day if you are happy and it's still progress then all the better!
